ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

• Plan, coordinate and supervise electrical installation works at construction sites.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, standards and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, consultants, subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress, quality, materials, manpower and work schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and identify any technical issues, defects or non-compliance.
• Prepare and review technical documents, method statements, inspection requests, reports and other project documentation.
• Assist in preparing electrical material submissions, shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Monitor testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with safety, quality, and project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical updates on electrical works.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors regarding electrical materials, equipment and technical matters.
• Monitor project costs and assist in ensuring electrical works are completed within the approved budget.
• Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained throughout the project.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in electrical engineering, construction or related industry.

• Knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning and construction practices.

• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents.

• Familiar with electrical systems, equipment and construction standards.

• Good understanding of safety, quality and site requirements.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

• Willing to work at construction sites and travel when required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.

• Must be responsible, proactive and able to work under pressure.

• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) / Graduate Engineer status is an advantage.
