Electrical Engineer

NJ Electrical Services Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based electrical contracting company delivering commercial and industrial electrical solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and supervise electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects, distribution and utilisation
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, load calculations and technical documentation
• Select and determine arrangement of circuits, transformers, switchboards, protection systems and cabling layouts
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings, Australian Standards, codes and project specifications
• Plan and manage resources, materials and installation schedules for electrical works
• Conduct fault finding, system analysis and provide technical engineering solutions on site
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with project managers, electricians, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure project delivery
• Support project delivery across commercial fit-outs, industrial installations and switchboard upgrades

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

• Relevant industry experience in electrical engineering or contracting environment preferred

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, switchboards, and distribution networks

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills

• Knowledge of Australian Standards and compliance requirements

• Knowledge of Simpro, GoundPlan and Autocad is must
