Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities and Authorities:

• Represent as the REE of the company as required by the law, rules and regulation of PEZA and other government agencies.
• Designs electrical systems by developing and testing components.
• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Attend the testing and commissioning of the equipment recently installed by the company.
• Oversee and coordinate manufacturing, construction, repair, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Review, evaluate, and ensure electrical plans to ensure compliance with the DOLE, PEZA, BFP and any other related government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Lead and manage electrical installation, maintenance and repair activities for facility systems, including power distributions, lighting, backup systems, and critical equipment.
• Review electrical designs, drawings and specifications for facility upgrades and new installations.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessment of electrical systems, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain documentation related to electrical systems, maintenance logs, and compliance certifications.
• Promotes Energy Efficiency and Conservation of plant, suggest ideas and projects to increase energy efficiency.
• Updating the plant’s electrical layout before and after the installation of the new machines and equipment.
• Promotes Fire Safety.
• Supervise Facility Maintenance in electrical repairs.

Required Education, Technical Capability and Other Career Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• PRC license is preferred as a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
• Registered Master Electrician (RME) is also an advantage.
• Excellent technical skills, including computer-aid design experience
• Knowledgeable in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Offices (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Able to read, interpret, and analyze electrical layouts/plans especially electrical symbols.
• Problem-solving skills. Ability to run simulations and analyze test data.
• Strong understanding of utility industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Able to handle facility maintenance/electricians on site.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
