Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at our facility in Carmona, Cavite on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position that plays a vital role in maintaining and optimising the electrical systems that power our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure, which is critical to our production capability and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with our operations, maintenance, and quality teams to support the smooth functioning of our facility and contribute to our commitment to operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical installations, transformers, generators, and switchgear
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and failures, implementing corrective actions to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise electrical system performance and energy efficiency
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, building codes, and pharmaceutical industry regulations
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and maintenance records
• Support the planning and execution of facility upgrades and capital projects involving electrical systems
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements across electrical infrastructure
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance personnel and other operational staff
• Monitor electrical systems and equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one in the Philippines
• Have professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation, and maintenance practices
• Proficiency with electrical design software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (NEC, PEC, and industry-specific guidelines)
• Experience with power systems, including transformers, generators, distribution panels, and motor controls
• Solid grounding in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
• Preferred experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing environments
