Schedule : M-F, 5/40

Duration : 6-month W2 contract to perm

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced engineering professional with strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM to support the design and delivery of large-scale data center projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple responsibilities to help safely execute projects that meet or exceed client expectations. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability in ambiguous situations, and the ability to deliver flexible design solutions within fast-paced project environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role requires direct interaction with clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design and development of large-scale data center facilities while adhering to company, client, and project design requirements; may include leading dedicated design teams.
• Complete project assignments within established budgets and schedules while incorporating project requirements, timelines, and cost considerations into facility layouts and designs.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform multiple project functions simultaneously.
• Provide technical guidance regarding redundancy and resiliency design considerations and associated risks.
• Conduct field assessments, review drawings, and evaluate existing facility conditions, preparing summary reports as required.
• Develop and/or review technical drawings to ensure designs and installations meet applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Review design and modeling deliverables, including issue identification and resolution.
• Provide oversight to ensure designs comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
• Compile technical information and prepare engineering studies and reports.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations as required by the project scope.
• Mentor, guide, and supervise junior engineers and designers.
• Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing within areas of expertise.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define and confirm project requirements.
• Utilize strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting hyper-scale data center projects .
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience .
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit is required.
• Familiarity with design considerations for hyperscale, edge, and colocation data centers .
• Advanced 3D modeling capabilities , including creating and managing complex Autodesk Revit families with custom parameters.
• Demonstrated understanding of redundancy and resiliency principles within critical facility design.
• Knowledge of data center tier classification systems.
• Experience using BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit worksets, view templates, and project phasing tools.
• Ability to work effectively in environments with evolving requirements and limited initial definition.
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet project deadlines and deliver results.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to challenge assumptions and drive improvements.
• Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
