Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified Professional Electrical Engineer (PE licensed in Florida) to join our team specializing in building recertification inspections. The ideal candidate will perform detailed electrical system evaluations and parking lot illumination testing for residential, commercial, and multi-family buildings to ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.

This role involves field inspections, technical reporting, and direct communication with property owners, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections for building recertification projects.
• Conduct foot candle testing to verify compliance with illumination and safety requirements.
• Evaluate electrical systems for compliance with the NEC and local building codes.
• Identify deficiencies and prepare written correction notices and technical reports.
• Review existing electrical infrastructure for safety, performance, and code compliance
• Provide clear technical guidance to property owners, engineers, contractors, and municipal clients.
• Participate in occasional plan review and field verification work as needed.
• Document findings accurately and maintain organized inspection records.
• Respond to technical inquiries related to electrical code compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• Strong background in electrical inspections and building code compliance
• Experience with building recertification inspections strongly preferred
• Familiarity with NEC, Florida Building Code, and local jurisdiction requirements
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
