ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of electrical systems at a power plant facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and improving electrical maintenance programs while ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting, fault investigation, and root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical system failures.
• Oversee daily maintenance activities and ensure plant equipment operates efficiently and safely.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and records through SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems.
• Implement equipment improvement and modification projects.
• Prepare maintenance reports, investigation reports, and technical recommendations.
• Monitor critical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement activities.
• Support internal and external technical audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to HSE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical operation and maintenance.
• Experience in power plants, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industry environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices for electrical systems.
• Experience using SAP or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Candidates holding any of the following certifications will have an added advantage:

• Electrical Competent Engineer (JEK) 33kV
• Authorized Entrance and Standby Person (AESP)
