Electrical Engineer

About the role

REDMAROON COMM. INC. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical and electronic systems and components. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for translating technical requirements into practical solutions, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role is fundamental to our operations and directly contributes to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and electronic circuits for various applications, ensuring they meet technical specifications and industry standards
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to assess project requirements and propose appropriate engineering solutions
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations using specialised software to validate designs before implementation
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including schematic diagrams, circuit layouts, and detailed design specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components to identify and resolve technical issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices
• Support the procurement process by evaluating components and equipment specifications
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians as needed
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout the engineering lifecycle

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent professional qualification
• Proven experience in electrical engineering design and development, preferably in a professional or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit theory, power systems, and electronics
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and electrical simulation tools
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and technical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst managing individual responsibilities effectively
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent are highly desirable
• Experience in telecommunications, power distribution, or related electrical engineering sectors would be advantageous
