Electrical Engineer

Our client, a major nuclear operator running a multi-site generating fleet, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to take plant modifications from early scoping through to final installation at an operating station.

In this role, you will develop modification packages and the electrical calculations behind them, from voltage drop and protective device coordination to load analysis. You will walk down the plant to confirm constructibility, shape cost and scope for upcoming work, and steer your modifications through installation, testing and drawing close-out. You will manage scope, schedule and budget and coordinate vendors and site stakeholders along the way. The role also includes on-call engineering and emergency response duty.

This is an excellent opportunity to own your design work from concept to operating plant. It comes with a structured engineering training program and a choice of site locations across the fleet.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a PE license, and has experience with nuclear or power plant design modifications. Familiarity with PWR systems, ETAP or CAPTOR, and construction planning or project oversight will be valued.
