Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated, technically proficient Electrical Engineer to manage plant-wide electrical maintenance operations and support smooth manufacturing activities. In this role, you will lead preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot complex electrical faults, maintain automation and PLC systems, and oversee new equipment installations to minimize machine downtime and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical Operations & Maintenance: Oversee daily electrical maintenance operations to ensure smooth plant performance and minimize machine downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Carry out systematic preventive maintenance routines and troubleshoot electrical faults to maintain operational continuity.
• Power Supply & Equipment Efficiency: Support production teams by maintaining high equipment efficiency and securing an uninterrupted power supply.
• Machinery Installation: Engage in and supervise the installation, commissioning, and operational setup of new machinery and electrical equipment.
• Safety & Energy Efficiency: Implement operational improvements to enhance machine reliability while ensuring full compliance with electrical safety standards and energy-saving initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with production and maintenance departments to sustain uninterrupted, high-efficiency manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering.
• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of essential experience in electrical maintenance within a large-scale manufacturing entity.
• Automation Expertise (Preferred): Practical experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), automation, and industrial control systems.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant engineering software.
• Location Preference: Residing in close proximity to Dankotuwa is considered a distinct advantage.
