Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is responsible for developing detailed electrical and shelter design packages, creating construction and manufacturing drawings, performing engineering calculations, and supporting projects from concept through production. The ideal candidate will possess strong AutoCAD and Revit skills, a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate with customers, manufacturing teams, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of detailed electrical and shelter design drawings and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Review and interpret bid documents, customer specifications, and customer-supplied drawings to develop electrical and shelter designs.
• Create and maintain electrical layouts, equipment arrangements, and design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit .
• Perform engineering calculations related to:
• AC electrical service
• HVAC loads and requirements
• Energy consumption
• Structural considerations
• Other design-related calculations as required
• Develop and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work orders throughout the design process.
• Support projects of moderate complexity while ensuring schedules and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with other engineering and design team members to support project execution.
• Provide technical assistance and design support to manufacturing personnel, sales teams, and customers.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites, project locations, or manufacturing facilities as needed.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline ( 4-year degree preferred ).
• 4-7 years of electrical engineering, electrical design, or engineering drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (required).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems design and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documents.
• Experience preparing engineering calculations and detailed design documentation.
• Strong technical aptitude across Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical (A/E/M) disciplines .
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
