Duties

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and PCB layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or MicroStation
• Implement FPGA and SoC (System on Chip) solutions utilizing SystemVerilog, VHDL, and simulation tools like Simulink or MATLAB to optimize system performance
• Conduct root cause analysis for electrical issues and troubleshoot complex electronics design problems using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and debugging tools
• Create detailed project schedules to ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones while coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Develop control systems and automation solutions employing programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM processors, Arduino platforms, and scripting languages like Python or C++
• Perform engineering testing to validate electrical system functionality in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 compliance standards
• Collaborate on manufacturing processes by designing PCB prototypes, overseeing soldering processes, and ensuring quality control during production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
• Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing environment with a focus on electronics design and system development
• Strong proficiency in electrical schematic design, circuit design, and CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks or MicroStation
• Hands-on experience with FPGA development, signal processing, control systems, and automation technologies
• Knowledge of electrical building codes (NEC), NFPA 70 standards, and safety protocols including NFPA 70 compliance practices
• Familiarity with electronics testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, vision inspection systems, and debugging tools
• Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently while troubleshooting complex electrical issues
• Programming skills in Python, C++, MATLAB or similar scripting languages for system development verification
• Experience working with communication systems engineering and industrial automation components such as sensors and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail in circuit design and electrical system troubleshooting

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
