Electrical Engineer

About the role

Plan, coordinate and execute Electrical and Mechanical commissioning activities for Data Center projects under the General Contractor (GC). The role will work closely with the GC, M&E subcontractors, specialist vendors, consultants and client representatives throughout the construction, commissioning and handover phases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute Mechanical and Electrical commissioning activities for Data Center projects under the Main Contractor / GC
• Coordinate with M&E subcontractors, specialist contractors, vendors, consultants and project teams to ensure commissioning activities are completed as planned
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, equipment schedules and commissioning requirements
• Prepare and review commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, test scripts and related documentation
• Ensure M&E systems are ready for commissioning, including installation completion, pre-commissioning and testing requirements
• Coordinate and execute commissioning activities from CxL0 to CxL3, including design/documentation review, pre-functional and functional testing
• Monitor commissioning progress and ensure activities are completed in accordance with the project schedule and requirements
• Identify, track and coordinate the closure of commissioning deficiencies and outstanding issues
• Review test results and maintain commissioning records, reports, deficiency logs and handover documentation
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with approved procedures, project specifications, safety requirements and applicable standards

About you

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and M&E systems
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, responsible and able to work effectively as part of a project team
• Willing to be site-based and work in a fast-paced, high-profile Data Centre project environment
