Electrical Engineer

Design, Develop & Deliver Electrical Engineering Solutions

We are looking for a motivated and technically competent Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering & R&D team.

This role offers an opportunity to be involved in electrical engineering design, equipment applications and technical solutions across commercial, industrial, Data Centre, Semiconductor and other specialised facilities.

We are seeking an engineer who can independently prepare electrical engineering drawings, interpret technical requirements, select suitable equipment and provide practical engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Design & Engineering Drawings

·        Independently prepare and develop electrical Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams and electrical construction drawings.

·        Produce electrical power distribution layouts, equipment layouts, cable routing drawings, wiring diagrams and installation details.

·        Prepare electrical control schematics, panel wiring diagrams and equipment interconnection drawings.

·        Carry out electrical load calculations, cable sizing, circuit breaker selection and basic protection coordination.

·        Review and update electrical drawings based on project specifications, consultant comments and site requirements.

·        Coordinate electrical design and drawings with other M&E disciplines.

·        Support preparation of technical submissions, shop drawings and as-built drawings.

2. Electrical Equipment Application & Technical Solutions

·        Review electrical technical specifications, tender drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and equipment schedules.

·        Evaluate electrical equipment requirements and recommend suitable products and technical solutions.

·        Support the selection and application of LV/HV switchboards, distribution boards, Motor Control Centres (MCC) and electrical control panels.

·        Provide technical support for motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), transformers and associated electrical equipment.

·        Support applications involving UPS systems, standby generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).

·        Review equipment compatibility, electrical interfaces and technical compliance requirements.

·        Ensure engineering recommendations and designs comply with applicable Singapore electrical regulations and project specifications.

3. Tender & Technical Submission Support

·        Work closely with the Tender Manager and Sales team to review electrical tender requirements.

·        Interpret technical specifications, electrical drawings and BOQ requirements.

·        Prepare technical compliance statements, equipment schedules and technical clarifications.

·        Support preparation of electrical technical proposals and equipment submissions.

·        Attend technical discussions with consultants, contractors and customers when required.

4. Site Engineering & Technical Troubleshooting

·        Provide engineering support for electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities.

·        Assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment faults, wiring issues and control system interfaces.

·        Review site installation conditions and propose practical engineering solutions.

·        Coordinate with contractors, site teams and manufacturers to resolve technical issues.

·        Support inspections, equipment verification and technical issue closure.

5. OEM Coordination & Engineering Development

·        Liaise with manufacturers and OEM suppliers on electrical equipment specifications, selection and technical documentation.

·        Review manufacturers' drawings, equipment datasheets and technical submissions.

·        Support the development of new electrical products and integrated M&E solutions.

·        Coordinate technical requirements with factory and manufacturing teams.

·        Develop and maintain engineering drawings, technical reference documents and product information.

Job Requirements

·        Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

·        Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, application engineering or M&E projects.

·        Proficient in AutoCAD, with hands-on experience preparing electrical engineering and construction drawings.

·        Able to independently prepare Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, wiring diagrams and control schematics.

·        Good understanding of LV electrical distribution systems, electrical panels, MCCs, motors and VFDs.

·        Knowledge of electrical load calculations, cable sizing, circuit breaker selection and electrical design principles.

·        Familiarity with Singapore electrical regulations, applicable standards and construction requirements.

·        Ability to interpret tender specifications, BOQs and engineering drawings.

·        Good technical problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.

·        Able to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
