Electrical Engineer

I am currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s largest maintenance providers who are looking to hire an experienced electrical engineer with good HVAC and mechanical knowledge to work on a highly secure site in the Manchester area.

This is a mobile role within a single secure site, where engineers work in pairs across multiple buildings within a large complex. A van is essential for navigating between facilities, and all necessary equipment will be provided, so you must be able to drive.

Requirements:

• Ability to undertake and pass a very high level security clearance – Requires UK citizenship and a 10 year working or residential footprint
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Must NOT be colour blind – driving within the sites demands full colour vision for safety and compliance.
• Proven experience in M&E engineering (electrical and mechanical systems) and experience of building services/HVAC plant including AHU’s, FCU’s, VAV’, motors, pumps, UPS, generators, emergency lighting etc
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in facilities management or building services.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned maintenance and reactive duties across multiple buildings.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Liaise with site contacts and management to ensure smooth operations.,
• Escort Sub-contractors whilst on-site.

Pay: £36,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
