Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a driven, highly skilled, and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer who thrives both at the design desk and on the job site. In this dual role, you will be responsible for end-to-end electrical engineering—from drafting initial concepts and technical schematics in AutoCAD to leading hands-on field installations, programming systems, and ensuring flawless execution. The ideal candidate is an expert in traditional electrical infrastructure, smart home automation, and architectural lighting controls.

Key responsibilities

• Create comprehensive single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic layouts, riser diagrams, cable schedules, and panel board layouts using advanced CAD software
• Perform precise load calculations, wire sizing, voltage drop calculations, breaker selection, and short-circuit analysis in compliance with national and international electrical codes
• Design complete smart home and building automation architectures (wired and wireless control networks, IoT protocols, central controllers, and sensor layouts)
• Design architectural lighting control schemes, dimming system layouts, and scene control specs (0–10V, DALI, Phase-Cut, DMX)
• Lead on-site installation teams and technicians, ensuring installations strictly adhere to design drawings and safety standards
• Directly participate in low-voltage wiring, switchgear setup, control panel terminations, and equipment mounting when required
• Configure, program, and test smart automation hubs, lighting control modules, and user control interfaces (touchpanels, keypads, mobile apps)
• Conduct continuity, insulation, and load testing; systematically resolve site issues and engineering changes during installation
• Maintain a high standard of punctuality, dependability, and professional diligence across all design deadlines and site schedules
• Stay updated on emerging smart automation platforms, energy management systems, and evolving electrical codes

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Registered / Licensed Electrical Engineer preferred)
• Outstanding hands-on AutoCAD skills (2D drafting required; 3D/BIM or Revit experience is a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design combined with direct hands-on field installation or site engineering
• Solid understanding of smart home ecosystems and protocols (e.g., KNX, Lutron, Control4, Crestron, Zigbee, Z-Wave, or equivalent)
• Highly prompt, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Rigorous attention to detail in both CAD drawings and field workmanship
• Proactive mindset with a strong passion for continuous self-improvement and learning
