About the role

The public listed company is seeking a talented and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Taman Johor Jaya, Johor. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and solutions that drive our projects forward. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse engineering challenges whilst contributing to the company's continued success and innovation in the electrical and electronic engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and technical drawings utilising industry-standard software and tools
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate project requirements and propose effective electrical solutions
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards
• Prepare detailed project documentation, reports, and technical specifications for internal stakeholders and clients
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure seamless project execution
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance assessments on electrical systems to identify potential issues and recommend improvements
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective solutions to minimise downtime and maintain system reliability
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and site personnel as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design, installation, or project management
• Strong proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar platforms
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and circuit design
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations relevant to Malaysia and the region
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or willingness to pursue it would be advantageous
• Experience with industrial automation, renewable energy systems, power systems, sub-station would be beneficial
