Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and oscilloscope-based testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing hardware and circuit-level failures, performing electrical measurements, analyzing waveforms, identifying failure mechanisms, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to improve product reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical & Electronic Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits, electronic boards, power supplies, and hardware systems.
• Identify faults such as voltage drops, signal distortion, noise, short circuits, open circuits, and intermittent failures.
• Perform component-level troubleshooting using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment.
• Analyze circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to isolate faults.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Conduct systematic root cause analysis of electrical and electronic failures.
• Investigate recurring failures using methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and fault-tree analysis.
• Identify the underlying causes of circuit malfunctions, component failures, and performance deviations.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
• Document failure analysis reports, test results, and RCA findings.
• Oscilloscope Testing & Waveform Analysis
• Perform oscilloscope-based testing to evaluate voltage, current, frequency, timing, and signal integrity.
• Analyze analog and digital waveforms, including transient responses, ripple, overshoot, undershoot, and noise.
• Troubleshoot clock signals, PWM signals, communication interfaces, switching circuits, and power electronics.
• Measure rise time, fall time, duty cycle, frequency, phase relationships, and timing deviations.
• Use appropriate probes and measurement techniques to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Correlate waveform measurements with circuit behavior to identify abnormal operating conditions and failure mechanisms.
• Testing, Validation & Reliability
• Execute functional, electrical performance, and failure reproduction tests.
• Validate corrective actions through repeat testing and waveform comparison.
• Support design verification, product validation, and reliability improvement activities.
• Maintain test records, measurement data, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with design, production, quality, and service teams to resolve electrical issues.
• Support failure investigations, engineering change implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend design or process improvements based on test findings and failure trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Practical knowledge of oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, and bench power supplies.
• Ability to interpret circuit schematics, electrical diagrams, and electronic waveforms.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, power circuits, and electrical measurement techniques.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mixed-signal circuits, embedded hardware, power supplies, or electronic control systems.
• Familiarity with signal integrity, switching noise, grounding, and electromagnetic interference (EMI).
• Knowledge of SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, or other communication interfaces, depending on the product.
• Experience with automated test equipment, failure reproduction, and reliability testing.
• Familiarity with test reports, failure tracking, and continuous improvement processes.
