Electrical Engineer (Commissioning)

Responsibilities

• Support and execute the commissioning of electrical systems including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, and power distribution systems.

• Review and verify electrical design documents, shop drawings, and test procedures to ensure alignment with project specifications and standards.

• Conduct and witness functional and performance tests for electrical systems during the commissioning process.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to system start-up, integration, and safety performance.

• Coordinate with project stakeholders including consultants, main contractors, vendors, and the client’s commissioning team.

• Prepare commissioning-related documentation such as test scripts, inspection checklists, test reports, and deficiency lists.

• Ensure all activities comply with relevant codes, safety standards, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO, LEED, Uptime Tier).

• Assist in handover process by ensuring complete documentation and conducting system training for the client, if required.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical system commissioning, preferably in data centers or mission-critical facilities.

• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, protection relays, and power quality testing.

• Hands-on experience with testing instruments such as insulation testers, multimeters, and power analyzers.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
