Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our lighting team. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for lighting projects, reviewing electrical and lighting requirements, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and supporting the sales and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand electrical, architectural, and lighting drawings and project specifications.
• Provide technical solutions for LED lighting systems and electrical installations.
• Prepare and review lighting layouts, load schedules, voltage-drop calculations, and other electrical calculations.
• Coordinate with lighting designers, architects, consultants, contractors, and MEP teams.
• Review lighting fixture specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare technical submittals, material submittals, compliance statements, and product datasheets.
• Support the preparation of quotations and technical offers based on project requirements.
• Select suitable lighting fixtures, LED drivers, control systems, and accessories according to project specifications.
• Review and approve shop drawings and technical documents related to lighting installations.
• Conduct site visits to inspect lighting installations and resolve technical issues when required.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical specifications, product availability, samples, and custom requirements.
• Provide technical support to the sales team and customers.
• Attend technical meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Assist in product testing, inspection, and quality-control activities.
• Ensure lighting systems comply with applicable UAE standards, authority requirements, project specifications, and energy-efficiency requirements.
• Support projects from the initial design and quotation stage through to delivery and installation.
• Maintain proper technical records and project documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, lighting, or MEP projects.
• Experience in the lighting industry is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of LED lighting products, drivers, power supplies, emergency lighting, and lighting controls.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, load calculations, voltage drop, power factor, and energy efficiency.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of DIALux / DIALux evo is an advantage.
• Knowledge of lighting control systems such as DALI, 0–10V, DMX, and smart lighting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical standards and authority requirements is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have a combination of electrical engineering knowledge and practical lighting-industry experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with consultants, contractors, clients, suppliers, and internal sales/design teams.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, technically strong, commercially aware, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
