Electrical Engineer Leader

Summary:

Professionals with Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the industry sectors of Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical and having good knowledge with experience in FEED and Detail Engineering within Power and Oil and Gas Projects. Capable to review and develop technical specifications, data sheets and technical bid evaluation of electrical equipment and materials (transformers, switchgears, MCC, UPS, EDG, cables, lighting & bulk). Strong skills in single line drawings and schematics. Expertise in lighting, earthing and lightning calculations. Good knowledge in Hazardous area classification. Good knowledge of International Codes & Standards like IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NACE, ASME, ANSI, IP, API, ASTM, ISO, Shell DEP

Key Objectives & Responsibilities of the role

• Responsible for the design of main electrical equipment and materials.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets
• Prepare electrical equipment and material sizing calculations.
• prepare Hazardous Area Classification with Designer support (only 2D drawings), Panel schedules (Power and Lighting), Interconnection and Wiring Diagrams, Control Schematics
• Prepare MTO/BOM, Lighting Calculations, Cable Tray and Trench sizing Calculations
• Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of Electrical Equipments (TRANSFORMERS, SWITCHGEARS, GENERATORS, BUS DUCTS, UPS, CAPACITORS, CATHODIC PROTECTION) and Bulk Materials(Cables, Trays, Lighting and Grounding materials)
• Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for Electrical Equipments and Bulk Materials & TB Tabulation preparation interact and collaborate with rest of technical disciplines involved ability to deal with change and demostrate flexibility as required demostrate awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issued
• Manage engineering vendors data
• Report engineering status and progress.

Technical Skills (including years of experience if need be)

• Designing for electrical equipment and materials
• 5 to 20 year or more experience working in the electrical discipline in a engineering company
• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of other disciplines
• Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements
• Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate
• Supervisor and other project personnel
• Excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing
• Knowledge of electrical calculation software (ETAP, SKM, Digisilent, Dialux)
• Experience as electrical site engineer
