Electrical Engineer - Remote - Mission Critical

The role

We’re working with one of the leading data center design firms in the US, and they want to add an Electrical Engineer to their team. They design critical facilities for some of the biggest names in technology. This is a chance to break into one of the fastest-growing sectors in MEP engineering.

You don’t need data center or mission critical experience. The firm wants strong Electrical Engineers from commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or any other building sector, and they’ll train you in critical power design. You bring good electrical design fundamentals and they’ll make you a data center specialist.

You’ll work on power distribution, one-line diagrams, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, and emergency and standby power. You’ll also produce construction document sets in Revit and AutoCAD. Working closely with the mechanical and plumbing teams, you’ll coordinate across disciplines on large, technically complex projects.

What you’ll bring

• 5–12 years of electrical design experience at an MEP consulting or design firm
• A BS in Electrical Engineering
• A PE license, or aspiring to obtain one (the firm will support you through it)
• Working knowledge of the NEC and Revit
• The ability to run your own designs and guide junior engineers
