- This role offers the opportunity to work within a national team of Building Design professionals, contributing to complex and high-profile projects
- The position provides exposure to cutting-edge digital technologies, project management, sustainable design, and collaboration with global teams
- It is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Building Services Engineer to further develop their technical expertise while supporting AtkinsRéalis’ commitment to innovation, digital engineering, and decarbonisation
- Design and specify electrical building services systems including power, lighting, earthing, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection
- Produce detailed engineering calculations, technical specifications (NBS), reports, and project documentation
- Collaborate with BIM teams, Global Technology Centre (GTC), and multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs
- Attend client and contractor meetings, undertake site surveys and inspections, and monitor installation works
- Manage assigned project deliverables, budgets, timelines, risks, and scope changes
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and governance standards
- Support the development and mentoring of junior engineers
- Contribute to digital engineering, sustainability, innovation, and AI-driven design initiatives- Strong communication, report writing, presentation, and client-facing skills
- Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with Chartered Engineer status (or working towards CEng via CIBSE/IET)
- Knowledge of decarbonisation, energy efficiency, building physics, carbon data analysis, commissioning, and performance evaluation
- Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy or contractor design environment
- Experience or interest in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Photovoltaic (PV) design, and renewable energy solutions
- Strong understanding of UK technical standards, BIM, digital engineering, and modern design practices
- Proficient in industry software including Amtech/ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, Microsoft Office, and ideally Revit and HV design tools
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads independently, work within budgets and deadlines, and drive innovation in Revit, Digital Engineering, and AI
