  • Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on solar installations, coordinating with on-site teams via platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Monitor solar asset performance data and identify technical issues requiring intervention, investigation, or escalation.
  • Coordinate and track scheduled maintenance programmes, ensuring work is completed in line with agreed service levels.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, performance summaries, and updates for clients.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding asset performance, maintenance, and technical issues.

  • Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently and professionally with clients.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Preferred Experience

The following experience would be advantageous:

  • Hands-on experience in solar asset management or a dedicated solar O&M role.
  • Experience in a client-facing, account management, or relationship management role within a technical environment.
  • Exposure to remote monitoring platforms and fault-diagnostic tools used within solar installations.
  • Experience coordinating on-site technicians or maintenance teams.
  • Experience in sales or business development within the engineering, energy, or renewable energy sector.

Key Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Professionalism and reliability.
  • Strong client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical engineering knowledge with excellent client-facing and organisational skills. They should be comfortable diagnosing solar asset issues, coordinating with technical teams on the ground, analysing asset performance, and communicating technical information clearly to clients.

This role would suit an engineer looking to progress into a leadership, asset management, and client-facing position within the renewable energy sector.
