Electrical Engineer (Substation) – Data Center, English Speaking

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
2. 1–3 years of experience in power systems, electrical engineering, or substation-related work.
3. Native Thai speaker; fluent English for professional communication (spoken and written).
4. Familiar with high/low-voltage distribution systems and substation primary and secondary equipment.
5. Experience with commissioning of substations, distribution systems, or industrial projects preferred.
6. Experience with PEA, EGAT, power utilities, EPC contractors, or data center projects preferred.
7. Willing to work on-site (Amata Industrial Estate, Chonburi) and travel for short-term assignments; strong communication and teamwork skills.
8. Experience with 115kV/22kV substation projects preferred.
9. Familiarity with protection relays, SCADA, and automation systems preferred.
10. Holder of a Thai Council of Engineers (COE) license preferred.
11. Experience with power supply/distribution projects for data centers, power plants, or industrial estates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of substation electrical systems (HV/MV/LV) within the data center facility.
• Monitor and maintain switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays, and grounding systems to ensure safe and reliable power supply.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to PM schedules and manufacturer standards.
• Coordinate with utility providers (PEA/MEA) on power supply, outage planning, and substation-related matters.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of new electrical installations and equipment.
• Prepare and update electrical single-line diagrams, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Investigate electrical incidents/failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, regulations, and company EHS policies.
• Support project teams during construction, testing, and commissioning phases of new substation/electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare shift handover reports and coordinate with O&M shift teams for 24/7 facility operation.
• Liaise with Chinese management and technical teams, providing technical updates and reports as required.
