Electrical Engineer(graduate)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Hong Kong team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary technical and communication skills to design and implement complex electrical systems for data centre projects. This role requires collaboration with other engineering disciplines and teams in different countries to ensure that MEP systems align with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the project requirements and coordinate with Arch, Civil, MEP team, and Client across all the stages
• Assist in designing complete Electrical Systems of a project
• Preparation of Electrical system design calculations and schemes
• Preparation of electrical BOD, BOQ, Cable schedule, Load estimation, and Quantity estimation
• Design of Lighting, Power, cable tray, Earthing, and Equipment layouts
• Perform calculations such as load calculation, Transformer / DG / Capacitor Bank sizing, Cable Sizing / Schedule / HT / LT Cable sizing, Tray Sizing, Lighting Calculation, Short Circuit Calculation, Earthing Calculation, and Lightning protection
• Coordinate closely with project managers and clients throughout all phases

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Strong willingness to learn
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to clients, contractors, and team members
• Fluency in English
• Interest in critical facilities such as data centers or building services (HVAC, Electrical, Fire, BMS, Plumbing Systems, and other Building Systems)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, 6Sigma, ETAP, DIALux
