Our electrical group is involved in every phase of a project, from planning and feasibility studies to design, construction administration, and facility assessments, serving clients across higher education, healthcare, municipal, industrial, laboratory, and infrastructure markets.

This position is for our Phoenix, Arizona office.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and specialty electrical systems under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Perform field investigations, site assessments, and existing-condition evaluations.
• Assist in developing construction documents and maintaining project documentation in accordance with GLHN quality standards.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality electrical designs. They are eager to continue developing their technical skills while contributing to a collaborative and employee-focused environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related engineering field.
• Minimum of three years of experience designing building electrical systems.
• Experience performing electrical engineering calculations and preparing construction documents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Experience with SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, AGi32, or similar electrical engineering software.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, laboratory, municipal, industrial, or water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience performing field investigations and supporting construction-phase services.
