- Assist with the management and supervision of contractors, ensuring work is carried out safely, to the required standard and in accordance with agreed specifications.
- Ensure maintenance activities, inspections, defects, repairs and other engineering information are accurately recorded within the Company's CMMS and engineering records.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work are in place and followed.
- Support the development of apprentices and engineers through on-the-job coaching, training and mentoring.
- Plan and assist with training programmes for assigned employees, ensuring all training and competency activity is appropriately recorded.
- Support the Electrical Manager and Supervisor with recruitment and selection of engineering personnel when required.
- Assist with employee appraisals, performance management, counselling and other people-management activities, with support from management and HR where appropriate.
- Develop effective working relationships with Engineering Management, Operations, Ride Maintenance, other departments, contractors and external inspection bodies.
- Promote a positive safety-first engineering culture, encouraging good communication, ownership and high standards throughout the department.
