Electrical Estimator - 100% Home-Based Role

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for our Australian client, the role is 100% Home-Based and you can work from anywhere in The Philippines. This opportunity is fully employed with paid leave and great benefits including HMO.

Our Australian client is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with previous Australian experience to join their team and work from home in the Philippines. You will play a key role in helping with upcoming tenders while will report directly to the Director and play a key role in the future development of this company .

Our Client

Our client is a leading and innovative electrical contractor who works on an exciting range of projects that range from Schools, Universities, Retail developments to Hospitals. They were set up five years ago and have built a name for themselves in the institutional new build and refurb market. They are looking to increase their Estimating capability and hire experienced off-shore Estimators to ensure greater market coverage and stay ahead of the competition. They are committed to working and developing their staff, they have all the systems and processes in place and are looking for someone who wants to be part of the next stage of growth.

The Opportunity:

This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Estimator with experience of working on commercial building projects to join our innovative and progressive client. We’re looking for someone to work closely with the Managing Director who can grow with the company and potentially move into a full Estimating/ Pricing role where you will take a project from drawing to pricing stage. As the suitable candidate, you will have worked on commercial building projects, including working on power upgrades, switchboard, specialised Civil works, generators, UPS backups and general power and lighting. Ideally you will have a stable employment history and be looking for the next long term career move.

Accountabilities include:

• Review scope of works and drawings
• Work on commercial Electrical projects (Mains power & lighting)
• Carry out accurate take offs
• Prepare detailed and accurate BOQ’s
• Maintain accurate records and schedules of rates
• Carry out RFQ’s ensuring best price
• Work with the director to ensure systems and processes are in place

About you:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Must have previously worked in a similar Electrical Estimating /QS role working on Australian projects
• A track record of working on commercial and institutional building projects.
• Strong understanding and experience in reading drawings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
