Electrical Estimator Assistant

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator Assistant to join our team!

This individual will directly assist our Electrical Estimator throughout the bidding process. They must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to read electrical blueprints, and understands electrical construction and material.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Reading electrical blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
• Completing material takeoffs
• Identifying electrical materials and equipment shown on plans
• Organizing plans, addenda, quotes, and bid documents
• Preparing takeoff sheets for the estimator
• Requesting and following up on vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Tracking bid deadlines, addenda, RFIs, and submission requirements
• Preparing bid forms and required supporting documents
• Maintaining organized digital and paper bid files
• Assisting with project turnover when jobs are awarded
• Providing complete technical and administrative support to the estimator

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read electrical blueprints
• Knowledge of electrical materials and construction methods
• Strong math skills
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Basic computer, PDF, and spreadsheet skills
• Dependable work history and willingness to learn

Electrical field, supply-house, project-coordination, or estimating experience is preferred.

Pay will be based on experience.
