About the Role:

Frank Gillitzer Electric Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This presents the right candidate with the opportunity to play a key role in winning projects and driving growth for a respected name in the electrical contracting industry. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical project estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential bids
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work documents
• Perform material takeoffs and labor cost analysis for electrical projects
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop complete bid packages
• Track and maintain bid schedules, deadlines, and proposal submissions
• Source and negotiate pricing with electrical suppliers and vendors
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies during the pre-construction phase

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or a related electrical contracting role
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and construction drawings
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills for vendor negotiations and team collaboration
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
