Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• Estimating Commercial/Residential: 3 year (Preferred)
• Electrical Experience: 3-5 years (Preferred)
• Proficient with Bidding Software (McCormick, ServiceTitan Preferred)

Full Job Description:

In this position the responsible person will communicate with a team of Estimators from other disciplines, and the Electrical Service Managers on various projects including but not limited to Light Commercial, FDOT roadway and Residential. This person will schedule installations and notify Superintendents of assignments, schedule permit inspections and enter necessary data into the computer database accurately and other important duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty on a Professional level. Must have a GED or High School Diploma, Electrical or Journeyman’s License a Plus, and show Problem Solving abilities while working independently or with a team.

• Reviews Proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required content of estimates
• Prepare estimates by calculating takeoff of scope of work
• Support other department personnel as required
• May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, quality, schedule and availability of materials
• Maintain files of working documents for estimates including figures, Take-off quantities, current pricing lists, etc
• Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately and on schedule
• Demonstrates consistent ability to be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough

Competencies:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following:

• Intermediate knowledge of math, electrical construction materials and methods and tools involved in construction or repair
• Proficiency with Excel and Assembly based estimation software. McCormick and ServiceTitan bidding software knowledge a plus
