About the role
BLVD Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support commercial electrical construction projects in Southern California.
Key responsibilities
- Review electrical plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents
- Perform detailed electrical material and labor takeoffs
- Prepare estimates for commercial electrical projects
- Review drawings for scope gaps, discrepancies, and cost impacts
- Prepare pricing for change orders and revised scopes
- Compare revised drawings and identify additions, deletions, and changes
- Review vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Assist with RFIs and scope clarification during the estimating process
- Maintain organized estimate files and supporting documentation
- Assist with value engineering and alternate pricing
About you
- Previous electrical estimating experience
- Construction industry experience required
- Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods
- Experience performing electrical takeoffs
- Experience preparing electrical change orders
- Bluebeam experience
- Experience with EBM, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software
- Strong Excel skills
- U.S. electrical construction experience strongly preferred
- Electrical engineering, electrical construction, or electrical trade background preferred
