The Role

We're looking for an Electrical Estimator to own bids from invitation through proposal. You'll work alongside our senior estimator using a modern, AI-assisted pipeline: automated drawing indexing, takeoff support, and CRM-driven bid tracking. That frees you to focus on judgment, pricing, and scope.

What You'll Do

• Review ITBs, drawings, and specs, and make bid/no-bid recommendations
• Perform and verify quantity takeoffs, then build and price estimates in Accubid
• Solicit and level quotes from vendors and subcontractors
• Write RFIs and identify scope gaps, conflicts, and By-Others items
• Prepare proposals with clear qualifications and exclusions
• Track bids in CRM and hit every deadline
• Hand awarded jobs to operations with a clean budget and buyout plan
• Debrief won and lost bids to sharpen future pricing

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial electrical estimating
• Commercial, industrial, and special projects experience
• Energy and infrastructure experience strongly preferred (utility interconnects, solar/BESS, EV charging, substations, public works)
• Medium voltage experience preferred: switchgear, transformers, MV cable and terminations, utility service coordination
• Design-build estimating experience: pricing from schematic or incomplete documents, developing budgets, and value engineering
• Proficiency in Accubid (Classic or Pro); ConEst or McCormick experience considered
• Strong blueprint reading across power, lighting, controls, fire alarm, and low voltage
• Working knowledge of the NEC and California Title 24
• OSHPD/HCAI or prevailing-wage experience is a plus
• Comfortable with Excel and willing to adopt AI and automation tools
• Organized and accurate under deadline pressure

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 DOE
