Electrical Estimator

ROSS Consultancy USA is hiring an Electrical Estimator to work on major semiconductor and data center projects in Arizona.

These are some of the biggest and most complex builds in the US right now. They’re power-heavy facilities where the electrical scope is one of the largest packages on the job, so the estimator has a real influence on how the project is priced and delivered.

We’re ideally looking for someone with a general contractor background who’s comfortable owning the electrical estimate from early design through to buyout.

Electrical Estimator - What you’ll be doing

• Preparing conceptual, budget and detailed electrical estimates from drawings and specifications
• Completing quantity takeoffs for power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting and site electrical
• Soliciting and leveling electrical subcontractor bids and picking up scope gaps
• Reviewing design changes for cost impact and putting forward value engineering options
• Tracking assumptions, exclusions and estimate changes as the design develops
• Supporting the project team through buyout and handover into construction

Electrical Estimator - What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of electrical estimating on large commercial, industrial or mission critical projects
• General contractor experience preferred; electrical subcontractor backgrounds also considered
• Strong understanding of power distribution, from medium voltage service down to branch circuits
• Experience with takeoff software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff or Accubid
• Semiconductor, data center or other mission critical experience is a big advantage
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or similar, or equivalent experience
