Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Estimator role based in Ephrata, PA. The Electrical Estimator will review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate material, labor, and equipment estimates for residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and public-sector projects. Responsibilities include analyzing electrical drawings, performing quantity take-offs, requesting and reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes, and preparing detailed proposals and bid documents. The role involves collaborating with project managers, field supervisors, and office staff to clarify scope, support budgeting, and assist with cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The Electrical Estimator will maintain current knowledge of codes, industry standards, and pricing trends, while supporting project scheduling, value engineering, and client communications as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong Electrical Estimating skills, including quantity take-offs, bid preparation, and proposal development.
• Experience with Cost Control practices such as budgeting, tracking variances, and supporting project financial performance.
• Background in Electrical Contracting, with familiarity in residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, or government projects.
• Solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals, electrical systems, and applicable codes and standards.
• Education or training in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and basic office productivity tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with field and office teams.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and ethical conduct; prior experience in a contractor or construction environment is beneficial.
