Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Duties

• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Prepare detailed tender documents and bid proposals in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information and assess project conditions.
• Monitor industry trends, material prices, labour rates, and other factors influencing project costs.
• Implement effective cost control measures throughout the estimation process to optimise project budgets.
• Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms.
• Maintain organised records of all estimates, revisions, and related documentation for future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role within the construction or engineering sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation processes.
• Demonstrable expertise in cost control techniques and budget management.
• Proficiency with estimation software programmes and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or construction management are desirable but not essential.
