What they need

Grammar Electrical is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Commercial Projects team.

You’ll own the accuracy and readiness of tenders, helping us submit accurate, commercially sound tenders on time. That means making sure each tender has complete scope, realistic labour allowances and clear exclusions.

What you’ll do

  • Review electrical drawings, specifications and tender requirements.
  • Complete and check take-offs, labour allowances and material pricing.
  • Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes.
  • Identify missing information, raise clarifications and document assumptions.
  • Coordinate the offshore estimating team, provide clear instructions and check their work.
  • Prepare tender submissions for approval and meet submission deadlines.
  • Maintain the tender programme, chase outstanding pricing and flag capacity problems early.
  • Hand accepted tenders over with clear scope, budgets and risks.
  • Provide occasional support with pricing variations when needed.

About you

You’ll bring:

  • Experience as an Electrical Estimator, Electrical Quantity Surveyor or in a similar electrical estimating role.
  • Strong practical electrical knowledge and an understanding of installation methods.
  • The ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications, spot scope gaps and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
  • Experience with electrical take-offs, labour allowances, material pricing and tender preparation.
  • Confidence coordinating an offshore support team and checking completed work.
  • A proactive approach to managing your workload. You can maintain the tender programme, chase information and flag capacity issues without repeated follow-up.
  • Clear communication, accuracy and attention to detail.

Actual electrical design capability would be a bonus.
