Electrical Estimator/Project Manager

Duties

• Develop accurate and comprehensive electrical project estimates utilizing industry-standard software such as ProCore, HeavyBid, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Lead the permitting phase by coordinating with local authorities to secure necessary approvals while ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and electrical building codes.
• Manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or Prolog to ensure timely completion of all phases from design through construction.
• Oversee electrical system design and review construction plans for accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to client specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution and communication.
• Monitor project budgets closely, controlling costs through effective procurement strategies and cost management practices.
• Supervise on-site activities related to electrical installation, ensuring safety standards are met and work progresses according to schedule.
• Lead project meetings, provide progress updates, resolve issues promptly, and manage contractual obligations effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating combined with electrical project management for large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system integration.
• Proficiency in industry software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or Primavera P3, Prolog, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and project scheduling tools.
• In-depth understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance requirements, and electrical building codes.
• Hands-on experience with permitting processes during the construction phase.
• Excellent project management skills including scheduling coordination, contract management, cost control, and team leadership.
• Ability to review construction drawings thoroughly and identify potential issues early in the process.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders across all project phases.
• Construction site experience is highly preferred along with knowledge of electrical blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
