Electrical Field Technician

Pressure Sewer Services Australia Pty Ltd (PSSA) is a trusted industry leader specialising in the maintenance and servicing of pressure sewer systems.

Based in Dandenong South, PSSA provides reliable wastewater solutions and responsive maintenance services to water authorities, local councils, developers and homeowners across Melbourne and surrounding areas.

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Field Technician to join our growing maintenance team.

This is a hands-on field-based role focused on reactive service calls, electrical fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance of pressure sewer equipment and control systems.

About the Role

You will attend reactive service calls and maintenance jobs across Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs.

The role involves responding to electrical and equipment faults, diagnosing issues in the field and carrying out repairs to return systems to reliable operation.

The successful candidate will participate in a rotating on-call roster, including after-hours reactive service calls.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend reactive service calls and diagnose pressure sewer system faults.
• Carry out electrical fault finding, testing, repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, control panels, floats, alarms and associated electrical equipment.
• Investigate system faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance as required.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls as part of a rotating on-call roster.
• Work closely with plumbing and civil teams to resolve site issues.
• Communicate professionally with customers, clients and site personnel.
• Complete accurate service reports, job documentation and digital records.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian electrical and safety standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Previous experience in industrial, commercial or field-based electrical work.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with pumps, wastewater systems, control panels or control systems will be highly regarded.
• A practical, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repairs.
• Good computer skills and the ability to use digital reporting and job management systems.
• The ability to work independently and manage reactive service calls effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A current MR Driver’s Licence highly regarded.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and professional standards.
• Flexibility to participate in a rotating on-call roster.
