We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong electrical fault-finding skills, PLC experience and a background working with automated production machinery.

You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently, responding to breakdowns and completing preventative maintenance across a busy manufacturing facility.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnosing electrical faults and minimising production downtime
• Fault finding and troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery
• Working with automated production lines, motors, sensors, drives and control systems
• Preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Responding to machinery breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Identifying recurring faults and assisting with equipment improvements
• Supporting machine installations, upgrades and modifications
• Working closely with production and maintenance teams
• Completing maintenance documentation and reports
• Following all WHS, electrical and site safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Electrical Fitter / Electrician with relevant Australian electrical qualifications/licensing
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, food or industrial environment
• Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting experience
• Experience working with automated manufacturing machinery
• Strong electrical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience with motors, VSDs, sensors and industrial control systems
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
• Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
