Ready to take your electrical field experience into preconstruction leadership?

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Planning Foreman to join a growing Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team. This role is ideal for a Journeyman Electrician, Foreman, or experienced Electrical Detailer who wants to leverage their field expertise in preconstruction planning while continuing to play a key role in successful project execution.

You'll lead planning efforts during preconstruction, collaborate with project teams, and help develop buildable shop drawings, prefab details, and material takeoffs before projects move into the field.

What You'll Do

✅ Review electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals

✅ Produce buildable shop drawings and installation details

✅ Plan electrical routing, material takeoffs, and project sequencing

✅ Create detailing using Bluebeam and project documentation in Excel

✅ Collaborate with General Contractors, Project Managers, Superintendents, BIM Operators, and Electrical Detailers

✅ Perform quality control reviews and support detailing standards

✅ Manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate documentation and schedules

Required Qualifications

✔ 2+ years as a Journeyman Electrician

✔ Experience leading 2–3 projects as a Foreman or 2+ years as an Electrical Detailer

✔ Experience with commercial electrical installation

✔ Familiarity with BIM or Design-Build projects

✔ Basic Bluebeam experience

✔ Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

✔ Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and construction documents

✔ Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling

✔ Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
