Electrical Foreman – West Cork

DOR Group Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to manage a range of commercial, healthcare, maintenance and small-project works across West Cork.

This is a permanent position for a practical and organised foreman who can lead site teams, coordinate several moving parts and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, apprentices and subcontractors.
• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly site activities.
• Manage labour, materials, access and upcoming works.
• Oversee electrical installations, upgrades and maintenance works.
• Read and work from electrical drawings and specifications.
• Liaise professionally with clients, project managers and other contractors.
• Coordinate works in live and occupied buildings, including healthcare facilities.
• Monitor progress and identify delays or issues at an early stage.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
• Ensure testing, certification and project records are completed.
• Lead site safety and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Provide clear progress updates to the wider project team.

Requirements

• Qualified electrician with a recognised electrical qualification.
• Minimum five years’ post-qualification experience.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, Supervisor or Senior Electrician.
• Experience in commercial, healthcare, maintenance or small-project works.
• Ability to supervise teams and coordinate works across active sites.
• Good electrical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills.
• Well organised and capable of planning ahead.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• Professional approach when dealing with clients.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and project completion.
• Full clean Irish driving licence.
• Testing and verification experience would be an advantage.
