Electrical / Grid Engineer (Project-based)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical / Grid Engineer to provide technical expertise on hydropower generation interconnection and transmission systems. The role will support the integration of hydropower generation into the electricity grid.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess grid interconnection requirements for hydropower projects.
• Develop and review generation interconnection concepts.
• Assess transmission requirements and connection configurations.
• Coordinate with utilities, grid operators, and relevant authorities.
• Support electrical system studies and grid connection assessments.
• Evaluate transmission routes, substations, and associated infrastructure requirements.
• Review electrical design concepts and technical specifications.
• Identify grid-related constraints and technical risks.
• Provide electrical inputs to feasibility studies and project development decisions.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in generation interconnection and transmission.
• Experience with grid connection of power-generation projects; hydropower experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of transmission systems, substations, and grid requirements.
• Experience coordinating with utilities or transmission system operators.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, engineering, and communication skills.
