Electrical Improver

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Improver to join an industrial and commercial electrical installation project in Hampshire on an initial 8-week contract .

The successful candidate will work alongside qualified electricians and supervisors, assisting with electrical installation works and supporting the wider site team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with electrical installation works across an industrial/commercial project
• Support with the installation, preparation and termination of electrical systems and equipment
• Assist with cable pulling, containment, glanding, termination and general electrical installation duties
• Read and understand basic electrical drawings and site plans
• Work under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor and qualified Electricians
• Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available and ready for use
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Follow all site health & safety procedures and RAMS
• Assist with general electrical installation and site duties as required
• Report any issues or concerns to the Electrical Supervisor

Requirements Essential Requirements

• Blue CSCS Card - essential
• Previous experience working as an Electrical Improver
• Previous experience within commercial and/or industrial environments
• Basic understanding of electrical installation works
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
• Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Right to work in the UK
• Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

• ECS qualification/card
• 18th Edition BS7671
• EUSR / Water Hygiene
• Thames Water Passport
• IPAF
• Confined Space
• Previous experience working within the utilities sector
• Experience with MEICA installation projects
• Experience working on industrial or water-related electrical installations
