Job Overview

NEXA Engineering Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in electrical site inspections within engineering consultancy or construction supervision projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections for electrical works, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and low-current systems.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Review and inspect Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Monitor contractors' work and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Identify and report non-compliant works and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UAE authority requirements and applicable regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection, preferably within engineering consultancy or construction supervision.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Experience in residential high-rise building projects would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with relevant UAE authority requirements, such as DEWA, Dubai Municipality, DCD, and other relevant authorities and service providers.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, construction standards, and site inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
