Technical Lead (Electrical) - Data Centre Projects (APAC)

We're looking for an experienced electrical professional to lead technical design for newbuild data centre projects across APAC - with a strong focus on generator and switchboard design .

What you'll do

• Review and guide vendor designs, drawings, and calculations for HV/MV/LV systems — especially generators, switchgear, and switchboards
  • ensuring compliance with IEC standards and client requirements
• Provide detailed technical feedback (red-line reviews) to vendors and drive closure of engineering documentation
• Validate system calculations: transformer/switchgear sizing, CT/PT selection, thermal/derating, load assessments, and protection coordination studies
• Lead electrical product development discussions with multiple vendors, promoting design-for-manufacture and standardisation
• Support commissioning teams — reviewing test procedures, coordinating with on-site vendors, and troubleshooting issues
• Act as the client's main point of contact for electrical matters across clients, consultants, OEMs, and internal teams

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; PE or Chartered status preferred
• 10+ years in electrical design and delivery for mission-critical, industrial, or data centre projects (hyperscale experience a plus)
• Deep expertise in generators, switchboards/switchgear, transformers, substations, and LV distribution
• Strong grasp of protection, metering, control circuits, and equipment sizing
• Experience reviewing vendor/manufacturing drawings for factory-built electrical products
• Familiarity with modular/off-site construction
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, ACC/BIM 360
• Fluent in English as working with international clients
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
