Electrical Maintenance and Technician

About the role

Electrical Operations and Maintenance Engineer/Technician role in the telecommunications industry, based in Pallocan East, Batangas. The position involves overseeing power systems and management, performing maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation and maintenance of batteries, rectifiers, transformers, generators, UPS, switchgears, lighting protection and grounding systems
• Carry out instruction as per Electrical Head/Maintenance Head and Client
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenances on electrical equipment
• Investigate power failures and electrical issues affecting the Data Center
• Coordinate emergency response during power outages and equipment failures
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and environmental standards
• Conduct risk assessment and implement safety controls
• Maintain engineering documentation and inspection records

About you

• Graduate of any electrical related course, preferably Electrical Engineering
• Experience in electrical engineering, preferably within telecommunications, power systems, utilities or infrastructure projects
• Experience working with generators, UPS systems, batteries and AC/DC power systems
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems
• Knowledge of using electrical engineering tools and equipment
• Understanding of electrical load calculations and system design
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office and project management tools
• Knowledge with the PEC, IEC and other applicable standards
