Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About The Role We are seeking an experiencedWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of the M25 tunnels and surrounding infrastructure. This is a varied, hands-on role working across high-voltage systems, tunnel plant, and traffic management and safety technology.

You’ll be part of a team responsible for keeping essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently, responding to faults, carrying out planned maintenance, and solving real-world engineering challenges that have an immediate impact on millions of road users.

This is to support the operation and maintenance of the M25 and surrounding infrastructure. What you'll be doing

• Maintaining and repairing electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, pumps, fans, VSDs, and lighting
• Supporting operations on 11kV HV systems (training/authorisation provided if needed)
• Working on traffic safety systems – signals, barriers, and sensors around the Dartford Crossing
• Diagnosing faults using schematics and fixing issues independently
• Responding to incidents and helping restore safe conditions quickly
• Carrying out a mix of electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks
• Working safely at all times in line with strict health & safety standards

Who we're looking for

• Completed Electrical Apprenticeship
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Full UK driving licence
