What they need

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis to work on-site in Regina, SK.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our maintenance team and support a variety of technical challenges, gain hands-on experience troubleshooting and improving electrical and instrumentation equipment, and collaborate with a skilled team to drive maintenance excellence through innovative solutions and cross-functional collaboration. Apply today for the opportunity to contribute to safe, reliable operations while building your expertise and making a meaningful impact.

What you’ll do:

  • Support maintenance engineering activities of varying complexity, including troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation equipment, developing Construction Work Packages (CWPs), and specifying and designing small-scale electrical modifications and installations.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to tradespeople and planners by helping resolve electrical or instrumentation equipment issues, addressing obsolescence concerns, and assisting with field and shop repairs.
  • Completing analysis to develop and recommend technically sound and cost-effective solutions for electrical or instrumentation equipment issues, considering safety, reliability, and operational impacts. Higher impact decisions will be supported by the guidance of more senior technical staff.
  • Contribute to maintaining maintenance engineering backlogs and tracking performance metrics, supporting timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime and maintain equipment integrity.
  • Collaborate with Trades, Operations, Reliability, and other departments to support equipment performance and identify opportunities for electrical and instrumentation system improvements.

Who you’ll work with:

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in maintenance engineering and:

  • Have 4+ years of related engineering experience in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering and are registered with APEGS as an EIT or P.Eng (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with equipment codes and standards associated with refinery assets.
  • Have experience developing Construction Work Packages, working within CMMS systems, and executing Management of Change processes.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
  • Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
  • As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs.
